Islamic State destroying idols in Iraq

There seems to be a lot of outcry against the Islamic State for destroying ancient artifacts of gods and idols in Iraq. The United Nations is even calling it a “war crime”.
While I don’t agree with destruction, especially of ancient artifacts, it really doesn’t bother me that these idols are being destroyed. In fact, they probably should have been destroyed a couple of thousand years ago. Wouldn’t our God approve of the destruction of these false gods and idols? Didn’t He call for their destruction in the past?
This is the world we live in folks. The destruction of false gods and idols demands public and government outcry! While the destruction and annihilation of Christians and Jews in the world is merely passed over. As if they mean nothing!
Where does the world place their values, on what principles and moral ground do they stand? How can they be so arrogant and haughty to believe that statues of false gods and idols have more value than human life? That Christians and Jews alike, whose physical existence is being wiped away, are nothing more than a hindrance to their evil and wicked ways.
Of course the world view is one of acceptance and tolerance. Of placing all gods on the same pedestal. To them there is no difference, they are all gods, all leading to heaven. Of course, this could not be further from the truth. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me”.
This is another sign of the times that we are living in folks. A sign leading to the soon return of Jesus Christ. The deception, the lies, the wickedness.
ISIS is wicked and abhorrent, however, isn’t the reaction of the world just as bad in the eyes of God? This is rebellion against God Almighty! By condemning the destruction of false gods and idols, they are slapping God in the face. They are telling Him that we will not bow down to you, but shall continue to worship all gods, all but you.
The wrath of God is coming soon to the world. The wicked shall be judged, and more then once. As the world continues to place twisted morals and values above what is righteous and holy, the Lord is patient. His mercy and love is never-ending, yet there is coming a day when His righteous indignation will befall the inhabitants of the earth.
As Christians, be strong, be courageous, and know that the Lord God is with you. He has indwelt you with His Holy Spirit, let His light shine through you in love, mercy, forgiveness, and peace. Amen
