Evil, demonic float at Carnival in Brazil, including scantlily clad females…is this a Christian ritual?

What is “Carnival” and where did it originate from. Is it part of Christianity? Should Christians be participating in it? These are some of the questions Christians around the globe should be asking themselves.
As I am finding out, it is difficult to find much information other than on Wikipedia. The following excerpt is from Wikipedia:
“Carnival (see other spellings and names) is a festive season which occurs immediately before the Christian liturgical season of Lent; the main events typically occur during February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, mask and public street party. People often dress up in masks during the celebrations, which is an overturning of the normal things of everyday life. The celebrations have long been associated with excessive consumption of alcohol.
The term Carnival is traditionally used in areas with a large Catholic makeup. However, the Philippines, despite being a predominantly Roman Catholic country, does not have Carnival celebrations.[2] In historically Lutheran countries, the celebration is known as Fastelavn, and in areas with a high concentration of Anglicans and Methodists, pre-Lenten celebrations, among penitential observances, occur on Shrove Tuesday. In Eastern Orthodox nations, Maslenitsa is celebrated during the last week before Great Lent. In German-speaking Europe and the Netherlands, the Carnival season is traditionally opened on 11/11 (often at 11:11 a.m.). This dates back to celebrations before the former longer Advent season or with harvest celebrations of St. Martin’s Day.
Rio de Janeiro‘s carnival is considered the biggest in the world with approximately two million participants each day. In 2004, Rio’s carnival attracted a record 400,000 foreign visitors.
The Lenten period of the Liturgical calendar, the six weeks directly before Easter, was marked by fasting and other pious or penitential practices. Traditionally during Lent, no parties or other celebrations were held, and people refrained from eating rich foods, such as meat, dairy, fats and sugar. In the days before Lent, all rich food and drink had to be disposed of. The consumption of this, in a giant party that involved the whole community, is thought to be the origin of Carnival.” Read Full Post….
I have also read that Carnival is to celebrate Spring Renewal Rites. Whatever the reason, is this celebration biblical and is it holy? According to Wikipedia and other sources, it was the Catholic church which first instituted this holiday just before the beginning of Lent.

I will let you come to your own conclusions. As for me, I see it as a secular celebration, not holy, and not from God. I am posting some photos from various Carnival celebrations, some of which I will not post due to most of them containing mostly naked women.

This guy is definitely demonic! In the name of Christianity? I don’t get it!
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: A reveler dressed like a demon prowls the parade route. Themes of ghouls, demons and “evil” beings are common in pre-Lenten celebrations.
There are many, many more photos of Carnival on the internet. Most of them are too indecent to post. Naked people, satanic costumes, tarot cards, homosexuality, idol worship, drinking, smoking, carrying on, etc.
So they say that this is part of Christianity. That this is in celebration for Lent, or “pre-Lent”. If this is the case then many people are greatly deceived.
This is nothing more then sin, rebellion against God, not in celebration of God! Celebrating whatever it is that these people want to do or express. Celebrating evil and sin. The celebration of demonic spirits and evil, not the other way around. Worshiping false gods and idols.
This is the world we now live in. Evil, corrupt, wicked. Anything goes. Don’t be fooled or deceived my friends. This is only the beginning of these things, as it will get worse! Keep the word of God written in your heart, your mind on the things of heaven, and follow the Spirit, not the flesh.
God in heaven, be with us in protection, guidance, wisdom, and direction. In Jesus Holy name, Amen
