Living in the world means going out into the world. It means interacting and communicating with other people living in and of the world. Like I said before, it can be very difficult for Christians to discern right from wrong, from being in the world and not part of the world.
We must, as Christians, involve ourselves with worldly people. We must share the love, have mercy and forgiveness to them. Whatever wrongs they have done, whatever sins they are actively doing, we need to show them love and kindness. This isn’t always easy. And it doesn’t mean to participate in sinful secular activities, that’s not what I mean. But, we need to love them, as Christ first loved us!
God loves everyone, and to everyone He gives the opportunity for salvation and the forgiveness of sins. It is through us that He shines, that He shows the world His mercy and grace.
So let us not forget why we are here. It’s not to boast about who we are, but to show the world that they are loved. That God is real, that He loves them, and that they can also share in God’s grace and have eternal life.
Help the needy, comfort the hurting, feed the hungry, spread the love! God is love, so go out and spread the love of God. Amen
